If you are interested in hiring me for a project, please send me an e-mail. Describe yourself and your project and we can discuss a quote, timeline, and your vision for your project. My ultimate goal is to provide clients with a fun and unique design that reflects their vision and passion for their website, whether it is a personal site for a photographer, a website for a small business, or a site for an upcoming wedding – it is important that what you see in your mind is as effectively portrayed and translated for the web. I am very passionate about creating a design that shines brightly.

Hi! My name is Finch. I am a freelance graphic designer, illustrator, and web developer. I have been creating websites for over ten years and have been drawing and illustrator for as long as I’ve been able. I am passionate about all things creative and work as a Creativity Consultant at Spark Craft Studios where I also occasionally teach various classes in crafting and creative living. For my upcoming classes, please check the ‘Classes’ page for dates and times. If you are interested in a private lesson, please e-mail me for availability as well as rates and project ideas.
My original plan for life included attending law school and eventually practicing for the state. Those plans fell to the wayside when I realized that my true passion was art, design, and all things web-related. It took me over ten years to realize that I’d been preparing for this all of my life – I just didn’t know it.
I’ve been designing websites and active on the web and in the design and illustration world for as long as I’ve had the internet. I’ve never had a computer that didn’t have a Photoshop short-cut on the toolbar. I’ve never had a moment where I wanted to stop staring at lines of code. It took me a few years to realize that I’ve been preparing myself for a career on the web for over half of my life. I’m happy to say that I figured it out and I’ve been working full steam to live a happy, productive, and most of all creative life rooted in technology and art. What am I doing when I’m not attached to my computer? Dreaming about computers and code, most likely.
In my spare time, I am an avid rock climber and hiker, as well as a canoer and kayaker and have recently started running. My goal is to eventually run a marathon, but at the moment – my longest distance has been 7 miles, but I am working to increase that and start running 10K races whenever possible. My favourite place in the world to climb is the Adirondacks – I’ve climbed multi-pitch and top rope as well as taken the leap to leading a few simple climbs. [Very simple climbs, but so exciting!]
I typically climb between 5.8 and 5.10 and have climbed 5.11s on my very best days. I’ve climbed the Wiesener route near Chapel Pond and I can easily say it was the most breath-taking site I have ever seen. I started climbing when I was eleven years old and I have not looked back. One of the most amazing things was climbing the Chapel Pond slab at thirteen and looking off into the distance and ten years later – climbing the Wiesener route and looking back at the slab where I’d started my serious climbing. It was especially inspiring as I was climbing with a group of campers – to see a young girl in the exact same position that I had been over ten years ago? The same trepidation at the start of the climb and the incomparable enthusiasm and exhilaration at the end, not to mention the view? It was one of the greatest moments of my life.
